In 2012, russell mccain began to write his autobiography. encouraged by his son, miami lawyer david mccain, russell Happily remembered his childhood on a farm in rural new england, his schooling, Football prowess, and experiences in the post-world war II-era military.
shortly after starting the project, russell died. Son david, determined to finish telling his father's story, took up the task, masterfully weaving his father's vivid writings with his own memories and those of his uncle, thomas mccain.
the result, I Love You Dad, is Storytelling at its best, the delightful and moving multi-generational tale of a classic american family.
